Tampa Bay Watch Wedding

Katie & Royal’s Tampa Bay Watch Wedding in Tierra Verde, FL was filled with so many sentimental details that I absolutely loved. From their grandmothers being the flower girls during the ceremony to Royal’s custom engraved wedding ring, and a special father-daughter dance at the end of the night. All the special details during the day showed just what kind of people Katie and Royal truly are. Warm, kind, and loving to say the least.

Grandmothers As Flower Girls

I’d never seen grandmothers as flower girls before, so when they began walking down the aisle and throwing petals at their Tampa Bay Watch Wedding, my heart absolutely melted. It made me think of how lucky Katie and Royal were to have their grandmothers involved in their wedding. So often I photograph weddings where couples’ grandparents can’t make it to their wedding or have already passed on. It makes it that much more special to capture sweet moments with them during family photos and just to document them being there. I have no doubt that Katie and Royal’s grandmothers were overjoyed to be a part of their special day.

Romantic Boat Dock Wedding Photos

One of the best parts about their Tampa Bay Watch Wedding was their sunset portraits after the ceremony. As the sun began to set along the coast, we headed out to the boat docks to capture some romantic and beautiful photos. Katie looked so beautiful with her wedding dress and simple yet elegant jewelry. Her bouquet had the pretties shades of blue and cream which brought out the color of her eyes. You could tell that Royal looked at her with such love and admiration that it made us all so happy for them.

Reception Fun and Special Dances

Their reception was on the second level of the Tampa Bay Watch building which overlooked the bay waters and setting sun. Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on the wraparound porch and then were invited in to enjoy the beautifully decorated reception area. Waiting for them on their plates were William Dean chocolates, whom Katie works for. Their reception was filled with wonderful speeches, sweet parent dances, and lots of laughter. My favorite part was near the end of the evening when Katie’s father danced with both of his daughters on the dancefloor. As a mom myself, I can’t help but imagine my husband dance with our own daughters one day.
