Beautiful Couple Portraits With Dogs In Lake Nona, Florida
My favorite thing about blogging is telling my client’s stories. Not only do the photos look great, but it’s the meaning behind the photos that truly make them so special. So, let me tell you about their couple portraits with their dogs in Lake Nona, Florida.
Jeremy reached out to me about a week before Christmas. He had the sweetest idea to surprise his girlfriend, Sheila, with a photo session for her birthday and Christmas. Her birthday is actually Christmas day! After the first few emails with Jeremy, I knew they were the perfect fit for my personalized and candid style. Jeremy presented Sheila with a personalized photography gift certificate during dinner one evening. She was so excited, and we all soon started planning for their upcoming session.
Waiting Two Hours To Say Hello
Jeremy is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Sheila is a medical interpreter and aspiring medical doctor. One afternoon their paths crossed at a physical therapy clinic when they assisted the same patient. Sheila caught his eye, and he wondered how he’d never seen her before. After their patient left, he decided to skip lunch and wait for her nearly 2 hours later! Since then, they have been inseparable, describing their love for each other as natural, authentic, and always able to have fun. No matter what they do, they always have fun, laugh, and feel so natural together.
Dog Walking and Making Coffee In The Kitchen
The vision was to capture both posed and candid photos of Jeremy, Sheila, and their two dogs, Pepper and Ollie. Being an animal lover myself, I love when clients want to include their pets. They are a part of the family too! To find a great location and wear the dogs out a bit, we walked down the road until we found this perfect little trail beside the water. The sun peaked through the moss-covered limbs of the tree and gave the prettiest glow. Both dogs were great, and I couldn’t help but show them a few back-of-the-camera photos.
They also wanted to incorporate their love for coffee into their session, so we had the most wonderful idea to make some to end the session. I told them they looked like they could be in a magazine ad! They were so cute! Plus, it made me so happy since “lifestyle” style sessions are my absolute favorite!
Behind The Scenes During Couple Portraits With Dogs
Throughout this gallery, you won’t see that Pepper took quite a while to warm up to me. She’s an older girl, and she was just very protective. We took about 30 minutes trying to make her feel comfortable. We quickly learned that she just needed to walk and wear herself out a bit first! However, as you can see, she is an absolute sweetheart and loves her mama! Ollie was the best boy too! He was so chill and just relaxed as can be.
Oh, and do you see that fun blue wall? That was actually in their courtyard right outside their front door! Sometimes I’m pretty sure my clients think I’m crazy when I tell them certain spots will be a great location, but it’s amazing what you can use when you know how to use it.
Jeremy & Sheila, you both are some of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met! Thank you for inviting me into your home, making me coffee and delicious cake, and giving me all the ins and outs of the area! Your couple portraits with dogs were absolutely wonderful!
