As soon as I saw Francesca’s outfit my jaw dropped! She chose the most beautiful white lace dress, white flower crown, and her makeup was ON POINT! I was super excited and couldn’t stop telling her how she was glowing! We decided to meet at a park in Logansport for her sunset maternity session and the weather was beyond perfect! She even brought her adorable older daughter along and I loved chatting with her about her family, friends, and all things Frozen of course!

Francesca reached out to me a few weeks after she had just moved to Indiana! She was in search of a maternity photographer since she was due in the next month and was referred to me by another local business. (Shout out to Tom from the Pear Tree Gallery!) Despite the language barrier of Spanish and English, Francesca was a dream to work with! She followed directions perfectly as I gave examples from a distance and showed her exactly how to pose. She was a pro by the end of her session, needing no direction!

One thing I love about photographing maternity sessions is that I get to help moms feel beautiful in their own skin. Being a mom myself I know how the basketball belly, new stretch marks and self conscious thoughts can make you love yourself less when you’re pregnant. However, the time I have with my maternity clients is a time for me to help them feel strong, encouraged, and beautiful. Not to mention, there’s just something about a mama smiling down at her sweet babe she’ll be meeting soon.
