You’re never going to believe how I met Laura & Chris…
How do go about finding someone to do Orlando Lifestyle Newborn Photography? Well, here’s one way. Once upon a time, I decided to attend a photography meet-up one evening at a small park in Orlando, FL. Near the end of the meet-up, I noticed this sweet little family of 4 walking toward me on the sidewalk. They had an adorable white lab and were pushing an Uppababy stroller. As they got closer, they asked if I offered newborn photography. They said they had just welcomed their first baby girl into the world and wanted simple and natural photos to remember this season of their lives. We then exchanged Instagrams, and the rest is history!
Orlando Lifestyle Newborn Photography In The Comfort Of Their Own Home
When I first arrived at their home, I was greeted by Riley, the most friendly, happy, and silly lab you’ll ever meet. After we went over the flow of the session and finished getting baby Parker dressed, we headed into the nursery. First of all, Laura did an amazing job decorating Parker’s nursery! She incorporated so many beautiful and sentimental elements throughout the room and made it feel so inviting and cozy. The mobile you see hanging above the crib was actually Laura’s when she was a baby. She also had a photo of her own mother receiving the mobile present at her baby shower!
We started with the family photo of everyone, including Riley. It was at this point we all had to laugh because Riley matched the whole aesthetic of the entire nursery! Haha! What a perfect first family portrait, right!? As Parker’s big fur sister, we had to incorporate Riley in a few ways. She posed perfectly while Parker lay in her crib. The photos of Riley looking at Parker through the crib rails just melts my heart too!
A Bassinet That Has Been Passed Down Multiple Generations
As you’re looking through this post, don’t miss the beautiful white bassinet by the window. At first, it looks like a neat antique for decoration, but don’t let it fool you. When Laura pulled up the cushion, there on the wood base were years and years of plaques, each signifying a baby that has used this crib from within the family. The plaques date all the way back to 1919! I had goosebumps just knowing the history of this piece. It was such an incredible thing! They, of course, had Parker’s name added as well to keep it up to date.
Their whole session was just a dream and Laura and Chris are the absolute sweetest people. They are 100% in love with being parents and make the cutest little family! I cannot wait to see how Parker grows and to photograph them again soon!
Laura and Chris, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home for your Orlando Lifestyle Newborn Photography Session!
