The forecast was calling for rain for Shannon and Adam’s Lafayette, IN wedding day. It would drizzle, then be cloudy, then pour. Even though the weather didn’t look like it would be in our favor, I loved that Shannon wasn’t the least bit worried about the rain. Instead, she knew the real reason for the day, marrying her best friend!
Shannon and Adam have such a sweet connection and I’ve loved seeing it in their portraits. Their engagement session at the Purdue campus (see that here) showed this. It’s hard to describe, but the way Adam brings a calmness to Shannon is something I think every woman wishes for! She seems to just melt into him and you can just sense the peace and security.
Even though the morning showed nothing but rain all day, surprisingly the rain cleared up enough for us to do some portraits outside! It was quite amazing considering our chances for the sun! I will say my favorite part of the day was taking portraits at the very fountain Adam proposed to Shannon at. We included it in their engagement session (see that here) as well so we had to include it in their wedding portraits as well of course!
One of the things I thought I’d never photograph at a wedding either are face masks. Haha. But I will say Shannon’s gorgeous white lace wedding face mask was very pretty. Here’s a link for some similar ones! I have to note this as well, but Adam surprised his groomsmen with some of the most unique gifts! They were personalized Viking-style drinking horns! How unique, right!?
Shannon and Adam, I am so happy for you both and hope your pups didn’t miss you too much on your wedding day! I loved that they were in you in spirit by your pretty little bracelet though!
